WINDSOR, Ont. - The Brock University women's soccer team (3-7-4 OUA) kept their playoff hopes alive as they shutout the Windsor Lancers by the score of 2-0 Sunday afternoon on the road.

After a defensive battle for the majority of the contest, the Badgers broke the scoreless tie in the 79th minute as rookie Megan Salisbury (Hamilton, Ont.) beat Windsor starter Tara Benard-Rae for her second goal of the season.

Three minutes later, senior Lindsay McDonald (Burlington, Ont.) would put Brock up 2-0 as she recorded her second goal of the season and eighth of her career.

In goal, rookie Jenna Vasiliaskas (Burlington, Ont.) recorded eight saves for her second shutout of the regular season. Tara Benard-Rae added four saves in the loss.

The Badgers return to action on Wednesday, October 16th when they host the Laurier Golden Hawks at 1pm. Brock closes out the OUA regular season on the road versus the McMaster Marauders on October 19th.
