GUELPH, Ont. – The Brock University men's lacrosse team (11-1 CUFLA West) locked up first place with a 13-12 come from behind win to defeat the Guelph Gryphons (9-3 CUFLA West) on Saturday afternoon.
Brock trailed 6 to 4 partway through the second quarter before picking up three consecutive goals to send the teams into halftime with Brock leading Guelph 7-6.
The Badgers continued to lead by one heading into the fourth quarter but found themselves trailing early in the fourth after the Gryphons chipped in two goals in 20 seconds to take an 11-10 lead.
Guelph added a third consecutive goal later in the quarter before the Brock offense took the game back by collecting three goals in five minutes to make the final 13-12 in favour of the Badgers.
Greg Davidson finished off an impressive regular season with seven points and five goals to bring his point total to 48 and his league lead in goals to 38.
Gage Board picked up four points with three assists in the win.

Kyle Davis each had two goals, while
Travis Arch and Board added a goal apiece.
Ryan Serville managed seven points with six goals to leda the Gryphons on offense. Rounding out the Guelph scoring was Brett Ulbikas (three goals), Jordan Critch (two goals) and Shannon Seamus (one goal).
Ian Duffy was solid late in goal to improve his record to 8-1 registering 15 saves in the win. Jeremy Snider dropped his record to 3-3 in the loss.
Brock will move on to play in the Baggataway Cup beginning on November 2nd where they will take on the winner between Western and Guelph.
