ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University men's rugby team (1-2 OUA) lost their second consecutive game at home dropping a 12-5 decision to the visiting Guelph Gryphons (2-1) Saturday afternoon during Brock University Homecoming festivities.

In a defensive battle in the tough weather conditions, Brock could only get on the board once as Brandon Marsden (Uxbridge, Ont.) registered his first try of the campaign and fifth of his OUA career.

Leading the Gryphons was Byron Boville and Martin Damianoff who both recorded their first tries of the season. Joe Newman added a convert, his 54th of his OUA career.

Brock will now go on the road for three of their final four contests beginning next Saturday, September 28th against divisional rival McMaster Marauders.  Brock will be at home October 5th versus the RMC Paladins before closing out the OUA regular season away from home against Waterloo (Oct. 11) and Queens (Oct. 19).
