ST. CATHARINES, Ont. – Brock University's women's soccer team fell to 0-3-4 on Saturday afternoon, in one of four homecoming games for Badger Athletics. The Badgers lost 2-1 to the Western Mustangs.

Lindsay McDonald opened the scoring for Brock in the 15th minute, notching her first goal since the 2011 season. It was also the 6th goal in her OUA career.

Just seven minutes later, Anna Keller evened it up for the Mustangs, beating Badgers keeper Alexa Jackman. Keller now has three goals on three shots this season in Western's lineup.

After both teams traded opportunities in the second half, it was Lauren Winquist who solved Jackman on the Mustangs' 14th shot of the game in the 86th minute to take three points away from Brock.

Jackman was fantastic in net all game for the Badgers, and made countless highlight-reel saves despite the poor weather conditions. She finished the contest with a game-high 13 saves. Western starter Tori Edgar added six saves in the victory.

McDonald's goal was only the second scored against Western all season, and broke a 105-minute scoreless streak for Brock.

The Badgers host Waterloo Sunday afternoon at 1:00 PM at Brock, concluding their season-high five game homestand.
