WATERLOO, Ont. - The Brock University men's lacrosse team improved to 4-1 on the season as they defeated the Laurier Golden Hawks by the score of 13-8 Friday night on the road.
The score was tied 2-2 afrer 20 minutes before Brock answered with four straight goals in the second quarter leading 7-4 at the half. The Badgers would outscore Laurier 6-4 the rest of the way on route to the five-goal victory.
Leading the Badgers attack was freshman
Brandon Slade (Orangeville, Ont.) who had a seven-point night adding two goals and five assists.
Greg Davidson (Toronto, Ont.) contributed with four goals and one assist while
Kyle Davis (Caledon, Ont.) added the natural hat trick and handed out one assist. Rounding out the Brock scoring were
Brandon Staal (Courtice, Ont.) (2G, 1A),Â
Jake Nyhuus (1G) and
Nick Rybka (1G).
In goal, Brock freshman
Ryan Jones added 10 saves for his second victory of the season. Laurier's Eric Beauregard suffered the loss.
The Badgers host divisional rival Western Mustsangs Saturday aftrnoon at 2pm.
