SCORELESS-DROUGHT SNAPPED
After drawing their first two opponents of the season, Brock fell 3-1 at the hands of the Laurier Golden Hawks in women's soccer on Wednesday, but did manage their first goal of the season. Cailyn Durish's marker came in the 90th minute, meaning that the Badgers have thrown the proverbial monkey off of their back, which is positive momentum heading into their contest with McMaster.

'KEEPING' THE TEAM IN THE GAME
Despite surrendering three goals to Laurier, Brock's goalkeeping has been making headlines in the women's soccer ranks throughout this young season. Welcoming news for them will be that last year's OUA scoring leader Emily Brown, who notched a pair of goals Wednesday, is with the Golden Hawks and not the 1-1-1 Marauders. Alexa Jackman made seven saves in the Badgers last outing.

HOME SQUAD GOES ON THREE DAYS REST
Unlike their McMaster opponents, both Badger squads have benefited from having three days off between games. The Marauders won in women's and men's soccer yesterday at Waterloo, which means that by the end of the game at Brock they will have played 180 minutes of soccer in 24 hours.

THE THRILL FROM THORNHILL
Marcus Bernard found his way onto the scoresheet twice at Laurier, scoring both of Brock's tallies in a 2-2 men's draw to match a career-high. Bernard has started all three games for the Badgers this year, and is coming off of a sophomore season that saw him score his first two goals in a Brock uniform.
