
LONDON, Ont - The Brock University women's soccer team (4-8-1 OUA) played to a 0-0 draw, Sunday afternoon, against the No. 7 ranked Western Mustangs (10-1-1) at Mustangs Field.
In the first half, the Mustangs controlled most of the play leading to eight shots on goal to the Badgers none. In goal, Brock starting goalkeeper
Jenna Vasiliaskas stepped up big in this contest stopping all eight Western shots she faced in the first 45 minutes.
Western continued to press on home turf, but it was the Badgers defense answering with a strong overall team performance. Vasiliaskas made five more saves in the second half for her second straight shutout.
This was the first game all season that the Mustangs were held off the gamesheet. They currently lead the OUA with 57 goals for and just 3 against in 12 games.
Western goalie, Tori Edgar, collected one save in the draw.
The Badgers return to action Saturday October 11th, at 1pm, when they take on the Windsor Lancers.
