Meaghan Buckingham for the 1-0 lead.
Guelph's Kristina Strojin would put her team up 2-0 in the 58th minute burying a miscue in front the Badgers goal past Buckingham.
In the final 20 minutes, the Badgers would try to get something going on offense, but it was the Gryphons defense and starting goalkeeper Holly Miller standing tall registering their second straight shutout victory.Â
In goal, Buckingham collected eight saves in the loss while Miller registered six saves in the shutout win.
The Badgers return to action next weekend when they host the Windsor Lancers (Sept 6 - 1:00 pm) and Western Mustangs (Sept 7 - 1:00 pm).
