
ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University women's soccer team (4-11-1 OUA) ended their 2015 OUA regular season with losses to the Waterloo Warriors and No. 6 ranked Laurier Golden Hawks.
On Saturday versus Waterloo, the Badgers needed a victory to keep their playoff hopes alive.
The Warriors opened the scoring in the 21st minute as Kaitlyn Unger put one past Brock starting goalkeeper
Lauren MacCulloch (Welland, Ont.) for her fourth goal of the season.
Brock tied it up 1-1 in the 72nd minute as rookie
Laura Kirk (Mississauga, Ont.) collected of her third goal of the campaign.
Needing the victory, the Badgers pressured the Warriors the remainder of the contest, but could not get anything going offensively. Waterloo's Paula Rau would add the game winner in the 85th minute.
In goal, MacCulloch added two saves in the loss. Waterloo starter Kala Studens collected two saves for the victory.
In their final game of the regular season, Laurier opened the scoring in the 4th minute as Nicole Lyon beat MacCulloch for her 13th goal of 2015.

Megan Salisbury (Hamilton, Ont.) would even the score at 1-1 eight minutes in, as she used her speed and broke through the Laurier defense and sliding it past Stacey Simmons.
Brock would take the 2-1 lead in the 27th minute, as
Alana Wong (Mississauga, Ont.) took the give and go and buried it past Simmons for her fourth goal of the season.
It the second half, Laurier carried the play. Katie Bishop would add back-to-back goals in the 51st and 60th minutes to give the Golden Hawks the 3-2 lead. In the 81st minute, Abbey Zamec would close out the Laurier scoring adding her fifth goal of the campaign.
