WATERLOO, Ont. - The Brock University men's rugby team ended their season with a 38-36 loss to the Laurier Golden Hawks Friday night on the road.
The Badgers led 15-7 late in the first half, before Laurier answered with 10 straight points to take a 17-15 lead after 40 minutes.Â
In the second half, the Golden Hawks took a commanding 38-22 lead with 18 minutes left in regulation. In the final two minutes, and the season on the line, the Badgers answered with 14 points to cut the lead to two, but the clock ran out as they ended their season with a 2-6 record.
Nathan Boeyenga (Brantford, Ont.) led the Brock offense with 11 points, including four converts and a penalty goal. Adding single tries were
