
ST. CATHARINES, Ont. - The Brock University men's rugby team (2-3 OUA) dropped a 55-20 decision to the first place Guelph Gryphons (6-0 OUA) Friday afternoon at home.
The Badgers were just the second team this season to put up 20 plus points against the physical Gryphons defense.
Scoring single trys for the Badgers were
Dylan Mundy (Sutton, Ont.),
Joshua Gomer (Collingwood, Ont.),
Blake Sanderson (Pickering, Ont.) and
Sean Medeiros (Mississauga, Ont.).
Leading the Guelph offense was the OUA leading scorer Jonathan West who finished with three trys and five converts for 25 points. In six games, he leads the OUA with 73 points. Adding single trys were Adam Maahs, Max Van Dijk, Blake Aram, Scott Simmonds and Darien Hewey.
The Badgers will be off for Thanksgiving and return to action on October 16th at 3pm when they play host to the RMC Paladins.Â
