Guelph, ON – The Brock Badgers competed in the OUA Figure Skating Championships on Feb. 17th and 18th hosted by the Guelph Gryphons. Overall the team had a strong showing and captured medals in two categories.

Laura Holbrough and Katie Desveaux captured gold in the STARSkate Gold Creative Dance with a flawless skate. Desveaux continued her winnning ways in the individual Open Solo Dance category winning bronze. 

Strong finishes were also made by Felicia Gow and Rachel Disney who placed 4th in the Jr. Silver Similar Dance category and Caitie McLeod and Laura Holbrough who also placed 4th in the Intermediate Similar Pairs division. Another stong finish was by Felicia Gow, Rachel Disney, Lexy Copage and Katie Desveaux who placed 4th in the Dance Fours division.

The team also had two 6th place finishes by Kristen Dortono and Hilary Falconer in Senior Similar Pairs event and Hilary Falconer in the Gold STARSkate category.

Coaches Katie Dortono and Melanie Peckham expressed their pride in the performance of the whole team.
