The Brock Badgers figure skating team earned two silver medals at its first competition of the season.
Eight other Ontario University Athletics (OUA) schools descended upon the Algoma Central Arena at Canada Games Park which played host to the Brock Invitational on Monday, Feb. 3.
The Toronto Varsity Blues placed first while the McMaster Marauders took home second place. The bronze medal went to the Western Mustangs.
Brock earned its first medal of the day in the gold women artistic dance as Alyssa Cross placed second.
In the next event, the couples artistic dance, the team of Kaitlyn Davidson and Trinity Males also earned a silver medal.
In total, the Badgers competed in seven of the eight events, with a fourth-place finish in the senior pairs and a fifth-place result in the star 10 women event being other highlights for the hosts.
Up next, the Badgers head to Toronto for the OUA Championship on Tuesday, March 4 and Wednesday, March 5 at the Mattamy Athletic Centre.
