
ST. CATHARINES, ON - The Brock University men's lacrosse team improved their CUFLA West conference record to 6-1 as they rolled past the Laurier Golden Hawks by the score of 16-4 Saturday night at Brock Alumni Field.
The Badgers jumped out to a 6-0 lead after one quarter and sailed the rest of the way.
Leading the Badgers offense was
Alex Pace (Halifax, NS) and
Grayson Houghton (Orangeville, ON) who both recorded natural hat tricks.
Brandon Slade (Orangeville, ON) contributed with a goal and three assists while
Dylan Laprade (Mount Forest, ON),
Nico Beaudoin (Welland, ON) and
Connor Ham (Newmarket,ON) all added one goal and two helpers each.
Rounding out the Brock scoring were
Davis Neal (Orangeville, ON) (2G),
Brandon Staal (Courtice, ON) (1G, 1A),
Nicholas Rybka (Bolton, ON) (1G),
Cree Blakely (St. Catharines, ON) (1G) and
Tyrus Rehanek (Brampton, ON) (1G).
In goal, Brock's
Alex Guiney (Toronto, ON) and
Josh Wood (Welland, ON) split duties in the victory.
The Badgers will take part in an Ohio Tournament over the Canadian Thanskgiving weekend and will return home on October 14th at 7:30pm when they host the Guelph Gryphons at Alumni Field.
