Brandon Slade recorded his 200th career point in win over Varsity Blues
TORONTO, ON - The Brock University men's lacrosse team improved to 4-1 on the season as they defeated the University of Toronto Varsity Blues by the score of 14-10 Friday night at Varsity Stadium.
Brock jumped out to a commanding 8-1 lead in the opening 25 minutes and never looked back, on route to their fourth conference victory.
The Badgers had nine different goal scorers led by
Brandon Slade (Orangeville, ON) who added four points chipping in with two goals and two assists. With his four points tonight, Slade recorded his 200th point of his CUFLA career. In 47 career games, he has recorded 87 goals and 116 assists for 203 career points.
Connor Ham (Newmarket, ON) added a natural hat trick while
Kyle Pedwell (St. Catharines, ON) and
Dylan Laprade (Mount Forest, ON) both registered two goals each. Adding single goals were
Nico Beaudoin (Welland, ON) (1G, 1A),
Alex Pace (Halifax, ON),Â
Brandon Staal (Courtice, ON),
Davis Neal (Orangeville, ON) and
Aaron Walker (Etobicoke, ON).Â
Toronto was led by Mitch De Snoo who finished with two goals and two assists in the loss.
In goal, Brock's
Josh Wood (Welland, ON) recorded 10 saves for the victory.
The Badgers are on the road Sunday against the Laurentian Voyageurs before returning home October 1st against the Laurier Golden Hawks at 7pm on Alumni Field.
