The Brock Badgers (4-2) hosted the Trent Excalibur (0-7) on Saturday.
 
The Badgers scored an early try by Prop, Jackson Amos (Mississauga, ON) to take the lead.Spencer Karn (Innisfil, ON) converted the try to put the Badgers ahead 7-0.
 
Trent stormed back converting on two penalty kicks by Tyler Webb (Barrie, ON) to close the score to 7-6.
 
As the end of the half approached, Brock's Ryan Hickey (Pickering, ON) came within inches of scoring, and the Badgers took a one point lead into the half.
 
In the second half, Trent's Mohamed Yusef (Peterborough, ON) scored a try that converted by Tyler Webb putting the Excalibur ahead 13-7.
 
Later in the second half Prop, Ryan Hickey have another opportunity and would capitalize on the try opportunity to tie the game.
 
Brock's Spencer Karn then made a crucial conversion to give the Badgers the victory.
 
With the win, Brock improved to 5-2 on the season and advance to the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) playoffs.
 
Trent would finish the Season 0-8.
 
The Badgers will travel to Hamilton this Saturday October 28, 2017 to face the McMaster Marauders at 2:00 PM on the Back 10 Rugby Field.
