The Brock women's soccer team punched their ticket to the OUA playoffs for the first time in 10Â years.
The Badgers edged the Waterloo Warriors 1-0 on the road Saturday to clinch a post-season berth.
"There's no team in this league that deserves playoffs more than us," said head coach Kevin Trethowan. "We had playoffs taken away from us last season and for the team to bounce back and turn it around the way we have this season is amazing. I am so incredibly proud of this wonderful group of girls. Enjoy this moment ladies."
Samantha (Sam) Bayer scored in the 66th minute to lift the Badgers to victory.
Goalkeeper Marilena Spagnolo recorded the shutout with nine saves.
Up next, the Badgers (5-6-4) complete the regular season at home versus Laurier (5-8-2) at Alumni Field. Kickoff is 1 p.m.
