After missing the OUA men's rugby playoffs last year, the Brock Badgers are chomping at the bit for a post-season run.
Brock travels to Waterloo to battle the Warriors in the OUA quarter-finals on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m.
"We are very proud to be back in the playoffs," said head coach Phil Sullivan. "Waterloo is a very good offensive team they move the ball well and kick tactically as well as anyone in the league."
The Badgers finished one place behind the Warriors in the OUA West with a record of 3-3. In Week 5, Brock lost 35-20 to Waterloo at home on Oct. 4.
"I think that we are capable of doing some real damage," said Sullivan. "There are some teams that we match up well with and we showed in our game last week that we can play with anyone in the league for 60 minutes."
In their final regular season game, the Badgers held the division-leading Guelph Gryphons to a score of 14-14 at halftime. The Gryphons pulled away near the end of the match.
"Now, it's a matter of doing it for 80 minutes in playoff intensity," said Sullivan. "We are excited for that challenge."
