The No. 8 Brock Badgers advance to the Canadian University Men's Rugby Championships consolation final after upsetting the No. 5 Guelph Gryphons by a score of 19-8 at Concordia University in Montreal on Nov. 21.
Brock will face No. 7 McGill on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 2:30 p.m. Watch the livestream here.
"Tremendous team defence," said head coach Phil Sullivan. "Particularly in the last 10 minutes of the game. Guelph controlled a lot of possession within our 22, but our defence denied them repeatedly."
Brock led 14-3 at halftime.
David Froome, Devon Ollson and Myles Maloney each scored a try. Steven Commerford added a pair of converts.
Brock's Zach Zorbas was named Man of the Match.
"It was a very gritty match," said Sullivan. "It was a complete effort from the guys."
The last time these two met, the Gryphons defeated the Badgers 47-14 during the OUA regular season on Oct. 18.
