Four members of the Brock men's lacrosse team were named All-Canadians by the Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association (CUFLA).
Attack Sam Leclair, midfield Alexander Pace, faceoff specialist Mitchell Gustavsen and defence Jeffery Wittig earned All-Canadians honours on Thursday, Nov. 4.
CUFLA announced their selections ahead of the Baggataway Cup championships in North Bay this weekend.
The Badgers (5-1) are the third seed as they draw No. 6 Queens (4-2) of the East Division to open the quarter-finals on Friday, Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. The game will be streamed on Lax Sports Network.
Leclair, a second-year Social Sciences student from Welland, was crowned the West scoring champion after completing the regular season with 19 goals and three assists for 22 points in six games.
A fifth-year Applied Health Sciences student from Halifax, Pace finished fourth in Badgers scoring. He contributed seven goals and seven assists in four games.
Gustavson, a third-year Sociology student from Toronto, dominated the faceoff circle this season and contributed two goals and three points in four games. At the same time, Wittig shut down opposing attackers while adding an assist in five games.
Long stick midfield Macgregor Allen and goalkeeper Simon Bellamy each earned honourable mentions.
