ST CATHARINES - In the final match of the OUA regular season, the Brock Badgers men's rugby team came up just short versus the Guelph Gryphons falling 28-22 at Alumni Field on Saturday afternoon.
Facing the defending OUA champions in the Gryphons, Brock remained competitive throughout the duration of the Saturday matchup. Veteran forward
Zach Zorbas was once again an offensive threat for the Badgers registering two tries. Brock also saw
Nash Ramsay cross the try line, while
Luke Bagshaw nailed two converts and a penalty goal to round out the scoring.
The Badgers qualify for the postseason as one of the top six teams in the province, finishing with a 3-3 regular season record. An opponent for their first round matchup will be confirmed following the conclusion of this weekends final matches.
