The Brock Badgers men's lacrosse team suffered their second loss of the season on Saturday (Oct. 7), falling 12-2 against the Western Mustangs at Mustangs Field.
Following a slow start, Blair Pachereva scored Brock's first goal of the game to close off the second quarter. The Mustangs continued to put up a tough fight throughout the next half, widening the gap with seven consecutive goals.
Brock refused to give up, and Avery Steinbach-Parker scored the team's second goal within the final minutes of the game. Unfortunately, it was not enough to catch up and Western pulled away with the win.
The Badgers (4-2) are hoping for the home field advantage as they return to Alumni Field this upcoming weekend. In a rematch, the Badgers will go against this same Mustangs team (6-0) on Saturday (Oct. 14) at 7 p.m. The next day (Oct. 15), Brock will travel to Waterloo to take on the Laurier Golden Hawks (4-3).
