Brock's cross country teams wrapped up an impressive season at the U SPORTS Championships on Sunday, Nov. 12. Following their program-defining eighth-place finishes at the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Championships, the Badgers took to the Thames Valley Golf Course in London as they competed in the men's and women's 8-kilometre races.

Madelyn Huston continued to shine as she ran to the top result on the women's side, placing 87th in 31 minutes, 53 seconds and one millisecond.
Her teammate and junior runner Lauren Macsai earned the second best finish with a time of 33:22.5. Robyn Adamo was right on her tail, with the veteran Badger completing the race in 33.58.1.
Rounding out the results were junior Cori Macsai (34:57.7) and graduate student Elizabeth Gay (35:45.3).
Overall, the women's team placed eighteenth with 550 points.
On the men's side, Isaac Ianarelli also made it into the Top 100. The junior Badger played a crucial role in the team's success once again, crossing the finish line in 26.39.6 and placing 87th.
Not far behind him was senior runner Christian Ligtenberg who finished with a time of 27:13.3.
Graduate student Joseph Dick clinched the team's third best result, crossing the line at 27:55.3.
Their teammates Marco Di Felice (28:34.3), Garrett Wager (28:35.6), Redding Maxwell (28:53.8) and Riley Coles (29:13.8) closed the individual results.
With 534 points, the men's team secured nineteenth place in their results category.
As the 2023 season comes to an end, Brock's cross country teams have their sights set on the future. The Badgers hope to continue their upward trend into next year as they build off of their success and experience from the fall.
