Box Score The Windsor Lancers slipped by the Brock Badgers by a score of 2-1 during Ontario University Athletics (OUA) women's soccer action in Windsor on Sunday, Sept. 24.
 
Brock's third-year forward, Shannon Brown, scored her first OUA goal to open the scoring at 7:09.
 
Brown found the back of the net after driving to the goalmouth and receiving a clever pass from second-year defender Makenna Williamson. She fired the ball top shelf over Windsor keeper Jordan Samping's outstretched hand.
 
The Badgers have scored first in three of their matches this season.
 
Brock and Windsor each committed three fouls, while Windsor dominated the corner kicks 4-0.
 
In the second half, Windsor mounted a comeback with Olivia Corazza scoring the equalizer at 57:31. The Windsor offence continued to press, and at 65:13, Kailyn Robertson scored the decisive goal with an assist from Vanessa Corry.
 
Despite a late surge from Brock, Windsor's defence held firm, securing the win and improving their record to 4-1-1, while Brock's record fell to 0-4-2.
 
Badgers keeper Emma Hendrie of Brock was busy in between the pipes as Windsor outshot Brock 19-7.
 
Up next, the Badgers (0-3-2) will look to secure their first win of the season when they host the winless Algoma Thunderbirds (0-7) on Saturday, Sept. 30 at Brock Alumni Field. Kickoff is 1 p.m.
