In the one-day bonspiel, the Brock women's curling team was unable to secure a victory.
The Badgers competed in two contests at the Trent Invitational held at the Peterborough Curling Club in Peterborough on Saturday, Nov. 23.
Kaitlyn Dumoulin, Alyssa Mayville, Ryenne O'Keefe and Lillian Cole made up the Badgers' quartet.
In their first match, the Badgers dropped a close 6-4 decision to the Algoma Thunderbirds. It was a strong start for Brock as they got out to an early 4-0 lead after three ends. However, they were unable to score after that as the Thunderbirds rattled off six unanswered points to win as the Badgers conceded after seven ends.
Next up was the host Excalibur who took down the Badgers 7-2 in just six ends. After scoring the first point of the match in the first end, Brock was outscored 7-1 as they dropped their second contest of the day.
Up next, the Badgers head to Hamilton and the Dundas Valley Golf and Curling Club for the McMaster Invitational that takes place on Saturday, Jan. 4 and Sunday, Jan. 5
