Brock earned a fifth-place finish at the McMaster Invitational.
In Hamilton at the Dundas Valley Golf & Curling Club, the Brock Badgers women's curling team came up victorious twice between Saturday, Jan. 4 and Sunday, Jan. 5.
Representing the Badgers at the invitational were

Lena Haase and
Ryenne O'Keefe.
Brock opened in the invitational against Laurier, with the Golden Hawks winning 9-4 in a seven-ends contest.Â
In their second and third matches on Saturday, the Badgers fell 11-4 to the hosting Marauders before dropping an 8-3 contest to the Excalibur, both finishing in seven ends, respectively.Â
Turning things around on Sunday, Brock secured a big 9-1 win over Mohawk College in just four ends. The Badgers found their rhythm in the middle of the contest, scoring eight of their nine points in the third and fourth ends.Â
The Badgers concluded the invitational with another win, this time taking down the Varsity Blues in a consolation-final comeback win, scoring five points in the seventh end to win 9-6.Â
Next, the Brock Badgers women's curling team are set to host the Brock Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 18 and Sunday, Jan. 19 at the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club.Â
