The Badgers gained valuable experience at the Windsor Team Challenge.
The final competition before the 2025 Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Championships for the Badgers took place at the Dennis Fairall Fieldhouse in Windsor from Friday, Feb. 7 to Saturday, Feb. 8.
As a team, the Badgers placed tied 10th out of 13 competing clubs. The host Windsor Lancers captured first with 107 points in a tight race with the Western Mustangs who had 102.5. Coming in third was the Guelph Gryphons with 67 points.
Leading the results for Brock over the weekend was Adeline Steiger who placed seventh out of 22 racers in the 1000-metre run with a time of three minutes and 34 milliseconds.
Maya Prescott-Clyne placed tenth with a time of 7.79 in the 60m dash while Hailee Maase was also 10th in the 1 mile run, finishing in 5:09.11.
Twins Cori Macsai and Lauren Macsai finished one spot from each in other in 11th and 12th, respectively, in the 3000m race with times of 10:46.54 and 10:47.23.
In the pentathlon event, Sajini Ganeshamurthi placed third in the shotput with a throw of 10.18m.
Next, the Badgers head back to the Dennis Fairall Fieldhouse in Windsor from Friday, Feb. 21 to Saturday, Feb. 22 for the 2025 OUA Championships.
