Offensive explosion powers Badgers to dominant win

The Brock Badgers men's rugby team powered past the York Lions, recording a statement 92-10 victory in their regular season opener on Saturday, Sept. 12.

Brock's balanced attack was key to their season opening victory, with nine different Badgers recording a try throughout the contest at Alumni Field.

Veterans Koen Schroeder, Grant Meadows, Brady Perkins, Gavin Hoyle, and Thomas O'Grady all recorded multiple tries across the afternoon, culminating in a dominant showing from the Badgers on home soil.

While York was able to take an early 7-5 lead after a try in the 6th minute, the Badgers responded with 40 unanswered points to conclude the first half.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with the Badgers showcasing their offensive firepower as they continued to extend their lead until the final whistle.

Coming up next, the Badgers will travel to Kingston, Ont. looking to continue their hot start to the season, as they battle the RMC Paladins on Saturday, Sept. 19, at 3 p.m., beginning a two-game road trip.
