PREVIEWING THIS WEEKEND
The Brock Badgers men's soccer team (0-2-2 OUA) continues their OUA regular season play this Saturday and Sunday with a pair of home games against the Windsor Lancers (1-1-2 OUA) and the Guelph Gryphons (2-1-1 OUA).
START FAST OR BE FURIOUS
The Badgers got off to a slow start in the 2012 season dropping their first 6 matches. With two ties early in the 2013 season, Brock will look to continue taking strides towards moving up the standings and closer to one of the six playoff spots in the OUA West division.
TWO FOR TWO
The Badgers will need
Marcus Bernard and captain
Erik Van Wissen to continue contributing offensively as both players have two goals on five shots in the four games played this season. There are four players tied for the OUA lead with four goals.
HOMETIME
After a loss in the home opener to the defending OUA champions from McMaster, the Badgers will keep the action at home with their next four games being played at Brock University before heading to Guelph to take the Gryphons. Be sure to come support the Badgers to help give them a true home field advantage.
LANCERS PLAYER'S TO WATCH
Cristian Mayorga has been a key goal scorer for the Lancers. Mayorga has three goals on the season and is third in shots with 13 through four games.
GUELPHS PLAYER'S TO WATCH
Robert Murphy will surely be taking some shots on Sunday as he leads the OUA with 18 and leads the Gryphons with three goals. Jared Agyemang has three goals on eight shots.
