WINDSOR, Ont. - The Brock University men's soccer team (1-7-6 OUA) kept their OUA playoff hopes alive as they scored in the final seconds versus Windsor for the 2-2 tie Saturday afternoon on the road.
In the final seconds of regulation, Bill Mllar brought goalkeper
Jake Sweetzer up to take the corner kick, which
Philip Kealey connected on with the header putting it past Windsor goalkeeper Sam Atkin for the 2-2 tie.
After a scoreless opening half, the Badgers got on the board first when
Sammy Orlando setupÂ
Aquan Morgan for his first career goal in the 48th minute. Windsor would tie the game in the 59th minute on a goal from Chris Lanni. The Lancers took a 2-1 lead in the 66th minute as Michael Pio setup Jumbo Iyowuna who beat Brock keeper
Jake Sweetzer.
Both Sweeter and Atkin registered four saves each in the tie.
The Badgers close out the OUA regular season at home next weekend when they host the Laurier Golden Hawks and Waterloo Warriors. Brock needs to win both contests to have a chance to clinch a playoff spot in the OUA West Division.
