
TORONTO, Ont. - The Brock University men's and women's soccer teams were shutout by the York Lions in their 2014 OUA opener.
The Badgers will look to get in the win column Sunday afternoon when they host the Guelph Gryphons at Brock Badgers Field. Women's game is scheduled for 1pm and the men 3:15pm.
The York women added three first half goals on route to the 4-0 home victory over the Badgers. Scoring for the Lions were Nour Ghoneim ('28, '41), Aisha Lewis ('30) and Colleen Beesley ('48).
The York women outshot the Badgers 17-4 in total (8-2 shots on goal). Lions starter Courtney Davis collected two saves for the shutout. Brock goalkeeperÂ

The York men's team registered two goals in the opening 16 minutes and played a strong defensive game for their first win of the 2014 season. Scoring for the Lions were Jonathan Lao ('15, '53) and Jarek Whiteman ('5).
