
WATERLOO, Ont. - The Brock University men's soccer team (0-4-3 OUA) picked up another point as they posted their second straight tie, playing to a 1-1 draw against the Laurier Golden Hawks (3-2-2 OUA) on the road Wednesday afternoon.
After a scoreless opening half, Brock got on the board first in the 62nd minute as
Philip Kealey beat Laurier goalkeeper Julien John for his second goal of the season.
The Golden Hawks would tie it up just three minutes later, as Tyreel Wilson scored off a corner, for his team leading sixth goal of the campaign.
Laurier outshot the Badgers 17-7 (10-5 Shots On Goal). In goal, Brock starter
Jake Sweetzer registered a game-high nine saves while Laurier's Julien John turned aside four of the five shots he faced for the tie.
The Badgers return to action this weekend as they host the Algoma Thunderbirds both Saturday and Sunday at 3:15 pm as part of the 2014 Brock Homecoming festivities.
