TORONTO - The Brock University men's soccer team dropped a tough 2-0 decision to the No. 1 ranked York Lions on the road Saturday afternoon.

The Badgers played the top ranked Lions tough for over 60 plus minutes as the score remained 0-0.

The Lions answered in the 62nd minute as Michael Cox beat Brock goalkeeper Matthew Zaikos for his second goal of the campaign. York would secure the win with a goal from Matt Stinson in the 90th minute as they improve to 2-0. With the loss Brock falls to 1-2.

In goal, Zaikos recorded as career high 12 saves in the loss. York starter, Colm Vance turned aside the lone shot he faced for the victory. 

The Badgers are in action again on September 6th at 3:15 pm when they battle the No. 4 ranked McMaster Marauders on the road.
