
The Brock women's softball team split their weekend series against Queen's and York over the weekend.
The Badgers dropped Game One 8-6 against the Gaels and captured Game Two by the score of 11-4.
In Game One,Â
Madi Clinton went 2-for-4 with two RBI while
Kelsey Hanley was 1-for-2 with two RBI. On the mound, Hanley suffered the loss after throwing 4 2/3 innings alllowing seven runs on six hits with four walks.
In Game Two,
Paige Sharp, Lexie Hext and
Emilly MacDonald all went 2-for-4 while driving in two runs each to lead the Badgers offense. Starting pitcher
Larissa Rowdon recorded the victory after thowing six strong innings allowing four runs on seven hits while walkng two and striking out one.
In their second doubleheader of the weekend, the Badgers lost Game One 7-2 against the York Lions and bounced back in Game Two winning by the score of 6-3.
In Game One, Hanley suffered the loss allowing six runs on nine hits while walking two and striking out one over 5 1/3 innings of work. At the plate, Clinton and
Rachel Jarvis were both 1-for-3 with an RBI.
In Game Two, Rowdon picked up her second victory of the weekend allowing three runs on seven hits while walking three and strking out one over six complete innings, Offensively,
Miranda Wiens, MacDonald and Hext all went 1-for-3 with an RBI.
The Badgers next action is this weekend when they host the Guelph Gryphons Friday night at 7 & 9 pm and Ryerson Rams Saturday at 11 am & 1pm at Lancaster Park.
