Box Score ST. CATHARINES, ON - The Brock University men's soccer team shutout the Algoma Thunderbirds by the score of 3-0 Saturday afternoon at Homecoming.

The Badgers opened the scoring in the 35th minute as rookie Liam Wilson (St. Catharines, ON) crossed one into the box which captain Eric Brady (Guelph, ON) headed past the outstretched hands of Algoma keeper Nick Palazzi for the 1-0.

In the 67th minute, Wilson fed a lead pass to Nathan Briglio (Sault Ste Marie, ON) who walked in and drilled one home for the 2-0 lead.

Eric Serafino (Maple, ON) added an insurance marker in the 73rd minute as buried a shot from 18 yds out past Palazzi.

In goal, Brock senior Matt Zaikos (Markham, ON) recorded three saves for the shutout victory. Palazzi turned aside seven of the 10 shots he faced in the loss.

The two teams will close out their OUA season series tomorrow at 2:15pm at Alumni Field.
