Box Score ST. CATHARINES, ON – The Brock University men's soccer team tied the Algoma Thunderbirds 3-3 Sunday afternoon at Alumni Field.

The Badgers scored first in the 16th minute as forward Nathan Briglio (Sault Ste Marie, ON) finished the beautiful cross sent in from teammate Marco Paoletti (Mississauga, ON) to open the scoring.

Marco then followed up and netted one of his own to take a 2-0 lead in the 28th minute.

Algoma would come back to tie it by the 48th minute, but Brock freshman Liam Wilson (St. Catharines, ON) finished a magnificent free kick from just beyond the 18 yard box to make it 3-2.

The Thunderbirds scored a late penalty kick in the 81st minute ending the game in a 3-3 draw.

In goal Brock starter Matt Zaikos (Markham, ON) added two saves in the draw. Algoma's Nicholas Palazzi registered six saves in the tie.

The Badgers will have a quick turnaround when they host a (2-3-2) McMaster Marauders team this upcoming Wednesday. The match begins at 7:15pm on Alumni Field.
