
OTTAWA, ON - The Brock University women's softball team posted a 3-1 record in the nation's capital. The Badgers split with the Ottawa GeeGees dropping Game One 3-2 Game and winning Game Two 4-1. On Sunday they swept the Carleton Ravens by scores of 8-1 and 8-0.
In Game One against the GeeGees,
Larissa Rowdon threw seven complete innings allowing three runs on seven hits while stiking out two and walking five..
Alanah Doyle,
Madi Clinton and
Shannon McGinnis all when 2-for-4 in the loss.
In Game Two,
Kelsey Hanley recorded the victory throwing seven complete innings. She allowed one run on five hits while strking out two and walking two. Clinton went 2-for-3 with two RBI while McGinnis (2-for-3) and
Paige Sharp (1-for-3, RBI) rounded out the Badgers offense.
In the Badgers 8-1 win over Carleton, Lena MacDonald threw five complete innings allowing one run on seven hits with two strikeouts for the victory. Doyle was 2-for-3 with two RBI, including an inside the park homerun. Rowdon went 2-for-3 with a solo homerun with Sharp going 1-for-3 with an RBI.
In their final game, Â Hanley had a big game as she picked up her second victory of the season throwing a four-hit complete game shutout. She also went 2-for-2 with three RBI.
Miranda Wiens (2-for-3, RBI) and McGinnis (1-for-2, two RBI) rounded out the offensive leaders.
