The Brock University men's soccer team were shutout 3-0 by the No. 9 ranked York Lions Sunday afternoon at Alumni Field.

The first half was very exciting with both teams battling hard for possession. The Lions would get on the board first 19 minutes into the first half as Milan Beader registered his fourth goal of the campaign.

York controlled the majority of the second half, but it was Brock goalkeeper Anthony Stott coming up with some spectacular saves to keep it a one goal game.

The Lions would close out the game with two goals in the final ten minutes. Cristian Cavallini added his 11th goal of 2017 in the 80th minute and Joey Cicchillo drilled a bullett past Stott in extra time for his first goal of the season.

York outshot Brock 20-8. Stott finished with a career high 14 saves. Former TFC goalkeeper Quillan Roberts recorded three saves for the shutout.
