The Brock men's and women's tennis teams opened the 2023 Ontario University Athletics (OUA) campaign at home against the Ottawa Gee-Gees at Youngs Sportsplex in Welland on Saturday, Sept. 9.
 
The men's team won 5-2 while the women's team fell 7-0.
 
Alex Cristiano (7-5, 6-2), Evan Goad (6-0, 6-1), Nestor Voronych (7-5, 8-4) and Alec Fraser (6-2, 6-2) each won their singles matches.
 
Goad and Jaden Chamberlain teamed up to won their doubles match by a score of 8-7 while Fraser and Voronych also won their contest 8-2.
 
Up next, the Badgers travel to Toronto to battle the York Lions on Saturday, Sept. 16.
