Box Score The Brock men's soccer team lost by a goal to the Laurier Golden Hawks at Brock Alumni Field in St. Catharines on Saturday, Sept. 16.
Laurier won 1-0 as the lone goal of the game came in the 15th minute when Sam Ghouli capitalized on an opportunity, slotting the ball into the net to put the Golden Hawks ahead 1-0.
Brock managed to create several scoring chances, with 10 shots in total, but they couldn't find the back of the net, thanks in part to Laurier's solid defense and goalkeeper David Carano, who made a crucial save.
The match also saw a flurry of yellow cards, with players from both sides receiving cautions for various infractions. Brock's
Tiago Pereira's match went from bad to worse when he received a second yellow card in the 89th minute, resulting in a red card and an ejection from the game.
