The Brock Badgers men's and women's tennis teams took on both the Waterloo Warriors (Saturday, Sept. 23) and MacMaster Marauders (Sunday, Sept. 24) over the weekend.
Waterloo – The Badgers got their weekend started with matches against the Waterloo Warriors on Saturday at the Waterloo Tennis Club (Sept. 23).
The men's team lost 5-2, while the women's team dropped a close 2-0 decision.
Evan Goad (6-0, 6-1) and Alec Fraser (6-2, 4-6, 10-4) were both victorious in their singles matches.
Fraser partnered up with Nestor Voronych, winning their doubles match 8-6.
Welland – The Brock men's and women's tennis teams then hosted the McMaster Marauders at the Youngs Sportsplex on Sunday (Sept. 24).
The men's team won 4-3, while the women's team fell 6-1.
On the women's side, Aleks Paramentic picked up the win in her singles match 6-4, 6-4.
Paramentic and Lauren Stevens won their doubles match against McMaster by a score of 8-3.
Goad (6-2, 6-1), Voronych (4-6, 6-2, 10-8) and Alex Cristiano (6-3, 6-4) picked up wins in their singles matches on Sunday.
Goad and Cristiano won their doubles match 8-4, while Fraser and Voronych were victorious in doubles as well, winning 8-6.
Up next, the Badgers travel to London to take on the Western Mustangs on Sunday, Oct. 1.
