The Badgers competed in the two-day Can-Am Classic on Friday, Jan. 10 and Saturday, Jan. 11.
Megan Jaques led the Badgers' results as they went up against other Ontario University Athletics (OUA) schools and other clubs at the Dennis Fairall Field House in Windsor.
Jaques delivered personal bests in both the shot put and weight throw, finishing third and ninth, respectively, in the two events.
Her successful attempt of 12.03-metres in the shot put places her 10th in the U SPORTS rankings in the event and bests her total of 11.04m from earlier in the season. In the weight throw, the third-year athlete threw a distance of 13.98m; good for over one metre better than her previous best of 12.67m.
Faridah Rogers (1.42m) placed 11th in the high jump while Olivia Mark had a successful jump of 10.65m to finish 12th in the long jump.
On the track, Maya Prescott-Clyne qualified for the 20-person semifinal heat out of a 57-person field with a time of 7.89.
The Badgers were led in the relays by the 4x800m team of Katelyne Stenlund, Sydney Coolman, Hailee Masse and last week's Athlete of the Week Adeline Steiger as they placed seventh.
Looking ahead, the Badgers travel to London, ON to compete at the Don Wright Team Challenge on Saturday, Jan. 18.
