Murphy, a third-year Sport Management student, scored when it mattered most potting the game-winning and playoff-clinching goal for the Badgers this past weekend in their 2-1 road win at Western. In a late season sprint between Brock and Western for the fourth and final playoff position in the OUA West division, both teams entered the Friday night showdown tied in the standings with a win sling-shotting them past the other into the postseason. A back-and-forth contest all night long appeared to be heading into overtime, however, Murphy started a last minute rush before scoring from a tipped point shot to put the Badgers ahead with just 44 seconds left in the game. The last second heroics from Murphy coincide with a spectacular season this year for the third-year veteran as she has led Brock in points and goals all season long, finishing with a team-high 12 points and seven goals this season.
