Brock University Athletics

Bob Davis will be inducted as a Builder to honour more than 30 years of service to the University. Over his three decades at Brock, Davis was the Athletics Director, Men's Coordinator of Athletics and a Professor of Physical Education. Davis also became the first president of the OUA (amalgamation of OUAA and OWIAA). Davis is still known to many as the Badgers No.1 fan. In 2003, the former Gym One was officially renamed the Bob Davis Gymnasium. The Surgite Award, which is awarded to the top student-athlete who excels in both academics and athletics, is also named after Davis as the RM Davis Surgite Award. Davis was inducted into the St. Catharines Sports Hall of Fame in 2003.
