Kathy Pierce (Prosser) - Cross Country (1975-77)
Kathy Pierce (Prosser) was a member of the Brock women's cross country and track and field team from 1975-77. In her three years with the Badgers, Pierce competed across Canada, the United States and even made a trip to England to show off her ability as a runner. In her rookie season, Pierce ran to a 1st place finish in the 3,000m at both the Ontario Sr. National Championships and the Canadian Jr. Olympics. She also had a 2nd place finish in the 1,500m at the Canadian Jr. Olympics and the OWIAA Championships. In 1976, she continued to put up strong individual performances finishing 1st in the 1,500m at the Ontario Sr. Championships, 1st in the 3,000m at the OWIAA Championships, 2nd in the 3,000m at the Canadian Sr. Championships, 2nd at the OWIAA Cross Country Championships, and 3rd at the Canadian Cross Country Championships. Pierce also competed on a relay team that took 1st place in the 1,500m at the Texas State Relays. In 1977, Pierce was recognized on a national level after being selected as a member of the Canadian Cross Country World Cup team. She would also become the Leicester County Champion when she travelled overseas to compete in England.
