Sean Pierson HOF pictureSean Pierson wrestled for the Brock Badgers from 1996 to 2000 and graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He was part of a program-defining era for the men’s wrestling team.

During his four seasons, Pierson helped lead the Badgers to four consecutive CIAU national championships and four straight OUAA/OUA titles. Individually, he earned three provincial gold medals across three different weight classes and captured a national gold medal in 1999, medalling at every OUAA/OUA and CIAU Championship he entered.

Pierson also represented Canada at the FISU World University Championships in Tokyo, Japan in 2000, and he was honoured as the Canadian Greco Roman Wrestler of the Year that same year.

He later transitioned to mixed martial arts, competing professionally for 14 years, where he was a welterweight world champion in the Universal Combat Challenge and a Canadian middleweight champion in the International Fighting Championships. He made his Ultimate
Fighting Championship debut in 2010 and complied a 4-2 record in the promotion.
