Rich Doey HOF 2024Rich Doey was a Brock University varsity rowing team member from 1982-1984 who had an impactful career on the water. In 1982, Doey coached Brock’s novice rowing team to their first-ever OUA Championship victory in the novice men’s eight — a historic achievement for the university. 

A standout for the Badgers as an athlete, Doey was named the Varsity Oarsman of the Year in 1984. 

Doey had the incredible privilege of representing Canada at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, placing fifth in the men’s four event.   

For his accomplishments on the water, Doey was honoured by his hometown of Chatham as he was named to the Chatham Sports Hall of Fame in 2022.
