Jeff Dunbrack won four provincial titles and three national championships while on the Brock University rowing team from 1998-2003. Dunbrack was also a member of the cross country team for two years.

He then became a coach for the Brock rowing team from 2003-2005 and was the first-ever Head Coach for the St. Catharines Rowing Club.

Dunbrack made an impact internationally as he was the Team Canada Para Rowing Head Coach at the 2010 World Rowing Championships, winning a gold medal in the adaptive four event. In 2011, Dunbrack helped coach the adaptive four crew to a silver medal.

Dunbrack has made a significant impact in Paralympic sport as he was named the Team Canada Para Rowing Head Coach at the 2012 London Paralympic Games.  He also was the High Performance Manager for the Canadian Paralympic Committee at the 2014 Sochi and 2016 Rio Paralympic Games.

He has served as the High Performance Director for Wheelchair Basketball Canada at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympic Games and most recently at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, where both the men’s and women’s teams placed fourth — the program’s best result in 20 years.
