Elisabeth Walker-Young was a member of the Brock University swimming team from 1996-2001.  

Walker-Young made her Olympic debut at the 1992 Barcelona Paralympic Games. She showed early promise, earning silver medals at the 1994 World Para Swimming Championships in the 50m butterfly and 200m IM events. 

At the 1996 Atlanta Paralympic Games, she captured a bronze medal in the 100m backstroke. She followed that up with a gold medal and a world record in the 50m butterfly and the 200m IM races at the 2000 Sydney Paralympic Games. In Sydney, she also won a gold medal in the 4x100m medley relay. 

In 2004, she competed at the Athens Paralympic Games, winning a bronze medal in the 50m butterfly event and a silver medal in the 4x100m medley relay.  

Beyond the pool, Walker-Young served as the Assistant Chef de Mission at the 2012 London Paralympic Games and as the Chef de Mission at the 2015 Parapan American Games.
