William Tyler Emmett

Tyler Emmett was a member of the Brock University men’s swimming team for three years from 2001-2004.   

Emmett competed in the 2000 Sydney Paralympic Games, capturing a bronze medal in the 200m IM. He also placed fourth in the 50m freestyle and 100m breaststroke events.   

In 2002, Emmett set the world record in the 50m backstroke in the S13 category, establishing a new standard for speed and performance. That same year, he finished fourth at the World Para Swimming Championships in three events (100m breaststroke, 200m IM, 50m freestyle).  

For the second time in his career, Emmett competed at the Paralympic Games, placing in the 200m IM in Athens in 2004.
